Totaly necessary.

In many case I hade a candidate from a job board with email and contact number but without linkedin URL, and if somebody of my team find the same candidate in linkedin but without email and phone number, it will duplicate the candidate and we work twice (bad candidate experience, we loose time, etc)...

This will be a really useful tool to us as well. Thank you for the suggestion.

Primarily we have built this feature considering the possibility of 2 or more distinct candidates having similar names will introduce confusion for recruiters, especially in the case of very common names.

But we understand your point as well, as it should be available as a capability so that you can refine the candidate database more accurately.

It would be great and useful that when uploading candidates, these don't get duplicated, but can be merged by just using the first and last name, for instance. thanks

Agree 2000%... I think we should have a way to filter possible duplicate records and allow us to merge those records if they are truly duplicate. The scenarios of having duplicate records are many so we need a way to monitor this and clean up as needed.

1000% agree - this would be incredibly useful, first name, last name, phone number, email, linkedin url should all cross reference any candidate when being entered into the system

Yes, a warning with an option to merge or create a new record would be nice. If this could be included in the Chrome ext. that would be especially helpful.
