Make Close Date Not Mandatory for Deals

At the moment, adding a Deal requires a "Close Date" which can make it look confusing especially on kanban view (since it looks closed already). Hope we can leave it empty until a candidate has actually been placed.

Hi RecruitCRM Team, can you please mark this as "not required" becasue when entering a deal, the close date is usually not known yet...

Chinna Rae: Hi Chinna,
Currently, the deal reporting is based on the deal closed date. When you go to the deal report and choose a time range for the report, it considers the deal having the closed date in the defined range and that's where we had to keep the deal closing date mandatory.
But you can keep the closing date in future as well if the deal is expected to close in future.
Hope this answers your query to some extent. If not, I'm happy to connect on a call to understand more about this feature request. Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks,

Kanchan Singh: Hi Kanchan, which deal reporting are you referring to? I'm assuming Deals By Teammates/Team uses deal creation date, whilst Deals Won/Lost Report uses close date? What about for those deals that are not yet won or lost? I understand that we can insert a future date, but I can't imagine having to adjust all of those deals that have passed the supposed close date but are still in progress... hope this request is given a chance!

Chinna Rae: Chinna Rae: Hi Chinna, I'm referring to the "Deals By Teammates/Team" Report.
So for example- if you choose Time Period as last 30 days- then it will consider the deals having the closed date is within the last 30 days.
For "Deals Won/Lost Report" only deals which are already marked as Won/Lost gets considered.
Meanwhile let me give this a shot with my team here, if we can do something about it.
Thanks,
